At long last I shot 50 straight from the 16 yard line. Well over a year since the first 25. Lots of 48s and 49s in between. I would have continued but those were my last 2 boxes.
Earned a patch from the club that I'm proud of. My wife thinks I'm nuts and relates it to getting a sticker on some school work. She just don't get it.
Used 1 1/8 oz@ 1250fps reloads. Smoked them all. Beginning the day I made one mount adjustment and tried to remain as focused as possible.
BTW, I need the front bead....at least for now. Put it back on with some loctite centered on the rib. Reference point when I mount the gun.

Man, I have shot enough 25-straights to appreciate how tough a 50 straight is!
Congrats!

Grats! That has to be an awesome feeling. I just started so I have a long way to go. Guy I shoot with just hit his first 100 straight a couple of weeks ago at the State meet at Silver Dollar. He has been smiling ever since.

Fantastic! Do you remember the 49th bird? What was it? Sure do, quartering left from station 3. Last one was a straight away. I've since followed that run with a handicap 50 straight (20 yrd line). Two days later at another club I managed 75 straight from the 16 then missed the 18 bird on a handicap round. In total between the 2 clubs that's 142 straight! Boy that was a lot of fun! Shot a few 25's and a bunch of 24's after that run. Can't seem to find that magic again. My 20 year old daughter was home from college this past weekend. She went with me to our clubs shoot. After some pointers and 2 rounds she smashed 22 birds on her 3 rd round ever! When she returned from the last squad she asked "how did I do that time?". The others mobbed her with praise while I watched with a wide smile.
