Marius, thank you for your input. I always enjoy reading your posts. I ordered 200 gr. GS for my .375 H&H. Sounds like an interesting bullet. Have you or your clients used Cutting Edge Bullets? The 235 gr. CEB Raptor groups very well in my NH M-70 SS Express, but I haven't shot anything with it, yet. Why don't we see and hear more about the 250 TTSX? I know the 270 TSX had a head start and has an excellent reputation. The 250 TTSX has a better B.C., shoots a bit faster. If the 200 GS Custom penetrates and performs that well, why not the 250 TTSX? DF Damn, those are great groups. I have not dealt with CEB before, but have never heard anything negative about them. You ask a great question on the 250gr TSX and TTSX. I had one hunter bring that combo for a plains game hunt, so sadly could not test the 250gr Barnes on anything big, but think it will put the hammer down on any Buff.

Just a three shot group, no way would it stay that tight with 5 or 10 rounds. Like most guys, I show the best groups... It's still an accurate load in the M-70. I have too many projects ongoing at any one time. Must have Loony ADD or something like that... I need to stick that bullet in a critter and see how it performs. I'd guess it would do pretty well. DF

I have done a fair amount of testing with 250 grain 375 BBC bullets and they penetrate at least as much as the 275 and 300 grain BBCs. Bill Steigers’ testing showed that PROVIDED THE BULLET MAINTAINED INTEGRITY AND STAYED POINT FORWARD higher velocity lighter bullets worked at least as well as heavier slower bullets.
The nose cavity and the expanded diameters of the three TTSX bullets are identical. More impact velocity = more penetration.

Ed, Am considering Burkina Faso next year. You going in Feb? Who you using for an outfitter? Am thinking of using my Whelen with 225 TSX but will likely succumb to a 375 & TTSX’s.

Yes, last two weeks of February. I booked with Arjun Reddy of Hunters Networks. Met him at the DSC show and he posts often on AR. http://www.huntersnetworks.com/
