Flinch a.k.a KA-BOOM, was really on his game accuracy-wise on this trip. Not to say he never missed, we all did, but he also made some super shots. Here is a nice boar he hit while it was running full out, broadside, at 300 yards. (Well that's what he told us. None of us were around him when he shot it.) He should have said 500 yards. Seriously though, he made a great shot on it. Eventhough, the long running shot was impressive, I was even more impressed by his 44 mag pistol shot on this pig. He hit it twice on the move at around 70 yards. His pistol shooting earned him the new name of John Wayne. Unlike the other pig, I was standing right behind Flinch and basically had an over the shoulder view of this pig biting the dust. It was very cool.
Is it Friday yet?

Dang I look good in those pictures....LOL. Big Sky, you the man behind the camera. It was one of those trips one will never forget. Absolutely amazing animals and a good time provided by Toby as per usual. I have been with him 4 times and have yet to have a bad time. Even though the weather was a bit nipply at times, we did see the sun and the pigs were out in force. Here's to good friends, good times, safe shooting and good equipment (other than 3 rifles that had issues). I am just glad mine wasn't one of them. Now I am back to reality in Utah, tons of snow, cold and wind...grrr.....Toby, take me away! Flinch

And the other two stuck bolts on the other guns. Heck of a rifle malfunction trip. Oh, and don't forget the rifle that likes to feed them backwards...LOL. I think you guys were just being nice to me and letting me get all the shooting ;o) I would believe that if it weren't for all the cussing, screaming and bolt pounding while pigs were running helter skelter. It was kinda funny from my perspective. "I got one down, two down, three, four down, another one down! Toby and Troy, why didn't you guys shoot?!" "Because our *$%#@!@$% guns are locked up!" I'm glad I was there to back you up...hee hee. Flinch

One of these days I hope to get in on a pig hunt. That has got to be a great time and it is certainly a lot of meat in the freezer. A lot of folks will be eating well.

I've heard about all the genetic modifications those game breeders do in Texas, but I never thought I'd see the mutation results in real life. The pig is a little strange lookin' too.

6mm. Hes a little reckless, but he runs it pretty good. He is one of my good friends sons that was hunting with us.
We had to cull the above hog cuz he was just a big 5 pt. He was mature and didnt meet out requirements for a mature boar. If they are anything less then 8 pts and are mature, they get the axe. For some strange reason, everything that we seen didnt meet our requirements and they all got the axe. Oh well, maybe next time will see some that are not culls.
