I'm somewhat interested in a local one.
A very pretty 45/70 - superb fit and finish. Unfortunatel they are terrible mechanically.
How so? I've been inside dozens, converted them to different calibers among other things. I've also worked on originals and original 71s. The new guns show much better tolerances and in the case of the Brownings, a much improved mainspring setup.
