HARDBALLER Campfire Member Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 161	I would go with a 240-250 with wide meplats. 300+ are heavier than needed and produces more recoil, wear and tear on your Smith. A 240 cast will give you plenty of penetration on a deer....think shooting a human size animal with a 240.
