It can be done. Its just a matter of milling off the top of the mold and retapping the sprue plate bolt. A couple of people have done it over on Castboolits but i don't think there were too many that felt the end result was worth the effort.
My buddy did that with the 45 version of the mold, actually he custom ordered it from Lee that way.
Can't say why, but it never shot that all well out of his various 45 colts.
