Leupold fixed 6 has about 1" more eye relief, is a (slightly) brighter/clearer scope and you don't have the windage turrett sticking out the side. It's not perfect, but neither is the SWFA. $$$ aren't the big issue for me, I'd happily pay double to get exactly what I wanted if it was an option.

I'm not a huge 6x fan, but that's how I see it too... same could be said for a fixed 8x/10x/12x Leupold.

For a guy who spins a turret a couple dozen times a year... and mostly just hunts to 500 or so, the 6x-M1 combo is hardly a 'bad' choice.

If you want to spin it a couple hundred (or thousand) times, and want the more precision based reticle... then the SS is the clear choice.


You better pray to the God of Skinny Punks that this wind doesn't pick up......
