The whole idea behind a representative Republic is the fact that we can't vote on everything. I wish we had enough control over who we elect in the first place, let alone how they vote, but the sad fact is we don't. Mainly the only laws I am for are ones that deal with expenditures to keep things running and laws gutting previous laws that were stupid to begin with. I'd much rather, for instance, that the whole GCA just be removed, but I'll take the proliferation of arcane, byzantine CCW laws over not being able to legally carry. There's also the fact that no regular joe has the money to see stuff through all the way to the SCOTUS if something goes wrong for him and that's where you get all these compromises. So "we" is not necessarily "me". I can only ever speak for myself, but one can logically assume that most feel the same, if they stop from working their asses off to ponder it.
