I've played with Unique some....but haven't seen any, in like since shortly after the Afro Ghetto Wonder because our HSIC....
its got versatility also...Have loaded it for kids.. most notable, is 22 grains of Unique with a 150 grain bullet in a 300 Win Mag, will turn it into a 30/30 clone.. right at 2000 fps...
got that one out of a Lyman Cast Bullet manual...
I'll have to try that 12.5 grains in a 243 load...
I love playing with this stuff, as it is fun and also allows a lot of trigger time, without wearing out your rifle barrel...helps ya being a much better shooter come deer season.. especially if the shooter has been volume shooting at small varmints...
Funny you should mention the .300 win mag, I was also shooting some 36 gr Barnes varmint Grenades in Eabco sabots with 25 gr of unique behind them this weekend. The results were inconclusive at this point. The ones that went straight were in a nice group, the rest keyholed and were a foot out of group.
