Where I hunted the guides would point them out at 400yds on a nice day and you could see about 50yds in a light rain. Rain, heavy rain, is a normal experience there. Horizontal weather is common.

Which gun are you willing to hunt in driving rain, rain/snow mix, or wet snow. Your gun can get soaked day after day so which one will do the best in snowing blowing rain? The answer to that question would strongly influence my choice.
