Dave, I was kinda joking around, but the truth is that when I used to speak of such things as reversing globalism, and returning to an America-First position, I was nearly universally condemned here as an isolationist. There has definitely been a major sea change here since those days.
Those two issues have not been shunned here, they've been expressed quite adamantly. Close the border, trade deficit, strong military for defense, get out of the middle east, shut down the UN, If action is required quick strike and leave. Quit apologizing to the world and start acting like the global leader we are.
No politician in recent elections had an acceptable plan for these issues. Though they had small parts here and there.
Trump has the best answers we've been able to vote for recently and the most sensible that brings factions together, each thinking he speaks for them. That's leadership.
