I have owned several of both and I would buy a brand new Remlin (CNC machined) the ones ive owned have been very good...I would avoid the latter made North Haven rifles and the first few years of the Remlin rifles (before Remington retooled the factory) as they were both made with the same worn out equipment from the old Marlin factory.....Good luck.....Hb
