An interesting read for you fellas in the US and Canada would be the battle of Long Tan, D company of 6 RAR would have been wiped out if not for the courage and accuracy of the kiwi artillery battery, after the company was nearly over run they called in the artillery and the kiwi's dropped the stuff almost on top of the trapped men, without a shadow of doubt it saved them from being wiped out.
Of course that battle went on to be probably the aussies finest hour in Vietnam.
