I used a .243 Pre-64 donor to build a 6.5-284. Like Redneck said, I had to replace the ejector and bolt stop. I knocked out the box mag spacer, bought a std. length follower and spring.
The donor had been cut down, stock and barrel, bought the gun for $400. So I didn't ruin a collector grade specimen. Had to mention that for the purists...
