But ol' Abe made a hell of a speech at Gettysburg.
He also made speeches during the Douglas/Lincoln debates. In one speech he said that if the government does not do the will of the people, that the people have a RIGHT to remove that government BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!
Would that make Lincoln a staunch supporter of the 2nd amendment, or just another lying, self-serving politician?
