Shortened and suppressed rifles are popular in New Zealand. Like Europeans, they generally prefer a reflex (over barrel) suppressor and 18in barrel to reduce overall length. Generally they won't go much further forward than 5in, with the back of the suppressor starting just forward of the stock of the rifle (usually a Tikka T3).
