Solid gun.
I think the Poly is just part of the vintage experience. And they do work. I have one on a pre-war Ithaca 37R 20 ga.

Never had a Win Super X but admired the “hose nozzle” Poly Choke as a kid. As depicted in F&S and others, those rose-colored pictures implied a shotgun that could do everything with it. Maybe could. Kind of a neat if simple engineering feat.
