Hi GSPfan, RIGHTEOUS GRAIN on that beautiful Deer Slayer, good stuff!

What is the wood, is it a family Heirloom?
Killer Bee I think the wood might be French Walnut. I have several custom rifles that I have used English for and none of them compare to this. I'm going to reach out to Dakota?Parkwest and see if I can get the build speck as this is no run of the mill production gun.
It's no heirloom in fact I bought it off a member here last summer. It is one very sweet rifle

Sure looks like a sweet rifle to me GSPfan.

I asked the question because I am refinishing my stock, it is made from French Walnut and I see some similarities, but yours has way more character. It is a beauty in my eyes. Exhibition Grade Wood as far as I can tell.

Would you happen to know how the wood was finished, is it oil with wax. I would like my rifle to look as good as yours!

Thank you cool

PS: GSP sure knew how to whoop azz hey? lol
