Ignorance is bliss I suppose. Years ago I owned a 788 in 223 , one time upon firing it I got a case stuck in the chamber. I opened the action by beating on the bolt handle with a stick of wood , tore the rim off the brass and it remained in the chamber. The bolt handle remained on the bolt , had I only known that was a weak point of the rifle I am sure the bolt handle would have broken off.
