I'll try it again.
I have a 336TS on which I would like to put a butt pad and sling swivels. I don't really want to bugger the orignal butt stock; time and $ to install parts would be about the same as a new or used stock with parts already installed.
I know that straight grip 444 and 1895 stocks fit. Are there versions intended for the 1894 or 39 that will fit a 1983 336TS? I'm trying to open up options.
I have seen straight stock with thin rubber pad and swivel on a 1894, which would be perfect. Marlin customer service was less than helpful or knowlegeable.
