If they are both straight or both are pistol gripped, they should interchange, at least the 1894 and 1895 models. The model 39 stocks are unique. A little sanding may be required but, for the most part, the stocks are identical. To change from a straight grip to a pistol grip, you would also have to change out the trigger floor plate and possibly a few other parts.
