While the end time events will involve the whole world, it will be centered around the ancient Roman empire (not to be confused with the Holy Roman Empire which is an entirely different thing). Odds are (but no guarantees)that it will closely involve a renegade pope who will totally deceive everyone except the Christians (Mr 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect�if that were possible.)
