I shoot 1000yd BR and have had Rock, Krieger, and Broughton barrels in both 8 and 8 1/2 twists and didn't see any differences shooting 140 or 142's.
I've been working lately with a stock Rem VLS in 260 with a 9 twist and it's making round holes with either bullet.
