I don't understand if going to a long action why not just go 6.5-06?
Good question.
I think for the same reason all those F Class shooters use a
long action with the 6.5x284 case.
From what I gather they believe it a more accurate hull that
does the same thing as an 06 case does while seating out those long bullets.
