Don't know about the S/N, but if it's a classic FWT in 'excellent' (that's the defining word, and one you must satisfy in person) condition, $500 is not out of line.. In 98%+ condition, they're going for $500-595 on GB. (blue/walnut/classic/30-06)
Good rifle.. Good cartridge... Reasonable price.. Who needs a S/N date?
