Can anyone help? I am trying to ID a model 70 with a S/N of
g23257.
I have checked a couple of sites."G" s/n's are post 64 but don't run that low. Pre 64's encompass that s/n but don't have the "G".
It is a classic featherweight in 30-06 for $500 supposedly in exc shape. For 500 I may want to jump on this.
