I'd definitely load all 35+ boxes of 300 ammo which that eight pound jug has in it. If you need more than that for all the hunting you plan to do with the 300 in the rest of your life, then I suggest getting into the TON of 4350 and making a bunch of target practice loads for it. Though I don't shoot a 300 Win Mag with any regularity, I do load for several and like what H4831 offers over faster powders. (As I recall, Ric Jamison used to drop 75 grains of the stuff in cases before capping them off with 180 grain bullets and going hunting. That's been a generally decent load in the 300s I've loaded for.)


Sometimes, the air you 'let in'matters less than the air you 'let out'.
