This is nearly identical to the project I undertook this winter. I bought a brand new 24" ER Shaw barrel chambered in 338-06 A-Square, the nut-wrench, and go/no-go gauges from Brownells. Had the barrel cut to 22" and a target crown added, Gun Koted the barrel in brushed SS and the other work myself, including marine tex bedding.

She is shooting nicely w/ 200 gr Interlocks and 54 gr of RL-1 in R-P 270 WCF cases. How is yours shooting ROTR?

Great black bear/elk/moose gun... now if I can just get REALLY lucky on a tag for the at least one of the former two in our state lottery I'll be all set... until then, whitetail "overkill"!
