I have a Ruger 77 Mark 2 in 243 and I did a trigger job on it. If you polish the bolt sear and the top of the trigger where it meets the sear you can drop the trigger pull dramiticily. I think my trigger pull is somewhere in the area of 1 lb if that. Some don't like it that light but it made my groups shrink. It did not affect the safety at all and I swear by it, I dropped my gun out of the deer stand a couple of years ago and the gun did not go off, I think I was in a 16 foot ladder stand. Start with 400 grit emory cloth and work your way up to 800 grit and pick up a 6 pack of your favorite beer, and make a night of it. It will take a little while, but it's a lot cheaper then buying a $100 plus trigger.
