The late Maurice Ottmar was indeed a top drawer stocker and 'smith; you did well on that rifle. When Champlin Arms turned out its own actions and rifles, Ottmar did most of the stocks. You will also find that the closer you look at his workmanship, the better it will look. The Biesens' rifles are that way too...
