The first Ottmar I saw was at Hallowell's when he was in Greenwich, CT. The rifle was in .30-06, and priced at 3,500 IIRC. I was in college at the time, it might as well have been 10K. I've been looking for one in my LOP ever since, this one was more appealing when I learned a bit about the Grisel action. (Jim: you are quite right about the rifle being a "time machine"!!)
GF, I have a Biesen in .270 (pre-64 natch) so I may have the .270 covered.
Unless anyone has a Bolliger or Miller decently priced?
