I always like 250 or more, w/exception of some bonded and mono bullets. They skew the typical cup/core SD logic IMHO.
No doubt, the 140-160s, in most flavors (most being cup/core) have all proven worthy on the largest of game, elk/moose/bear, etc. Those heavy for cal bullets shoot modest speeds and retain wt. well and dig deep.
