I had not read that article but I have heard tell of such an article.

Frankly from tossing so many SMKs downrange over the years, and having my own personal rifle range and backstop, and being nosey about what bullets look like expanded in the dirt etc...... under normal speeds, I would be very amazed to know that an SMK would blow up.

Hyper speeds tax any bullet, even a standard cup and core soft point could to TU in expansion instantly.
