I will throw my hat in the ring with Phil, John, and Bob. I've been fortunate enough to shoot lots of game in lots of venues,some that bites and some that doesn't and the scope of choice for what I considered "serious" hunting was always a Leupold VXIII in 1.5-5
Never shot a Brown Bear though...maybe I should call Phil....
