What is sad is that the chain is only as strong as the weakest link. I have a spare set of BUIS laying around, sadly rifle scopes in my opinion leave a lot to be desired these days regards impact resistance. The one diavari 3x9 I am going to use has been back to Zeiss twice now. Maybe it will not break on a 223 but I am convinced that most if not all variable scopes are in general 1000 round items before failure.
