I like Smiths for pocket guns and Rugers for belt guns. Once you get to a 3 inch barrel, it is a belt gun. I really like the 3 inch SP101. My preferred load is the Buffalo Bore 158 grain LSWC-HP .38 special +P, which delivered the same velocity as one .357 magnum 158 grain jacketed load that I tested. I had no problem with the factory grips, and they aid in concealability with a Sparks Versa Max II.
