I very much miss his writing... My first copy of Rifle was the Fall 1999 Hunting Annual. In short his article "Bear Oddysey" just impressed the hell out of me. I later went on to subscribe to both Rifle and Handloader and did so until he left... I have nothing against the current writers and often find Barsness's work interesting. Phil Shoemaker's work speaks for itself. Still it was Ross Seyfried who brought me to the publication...
