People keep forgetting what is happening in Africa today. What happened in the Balkans, Lebanon, Chechnya and other assorted schittholes on the planet in the last 25 years.

Just pick up a copy of Soldier of Fortune and check out the World SITREP section and there are all sorts of rebellions, insurgencies, tyrannical govt crackdowns and genocides.

The only ones that have any hope of survival at all, regardless of which side they may be on, are the ones who are armed.

Unarmed refugees are at the mercy of whoever's path they happen to cross.
