Don't know much about collecting these,but when they came out, I bought 3 of them; a 270,257 Roberts and a 7x57 like Ingwe's.
Keep in mind these were the first FW's since Winchester stopped making them in 1964,so lots of folks were happy about them.
I sent the Roberts to Dietrich Apel at Jaegers and had him convert the mag box to 30/06 length for a 3" Roberts....the throats were long as they came.Worked up a load with 100 gr Sierra's and 100 gr Partitions and killed a bunch of coyotes,antelope and mule deer with it. The little rifle never baubled,and worked just fine.Shot a lot of woodchucks with it, too.
