MontanaMan Campfire Ranger Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 23,659 Likes: 1	One advantage to the SS slide is it doesn't show the holster wear on the slide like blued guns do. After 3 steady years of carrying this gun & in & out of a leather holster, the front edge of the slide is just a bit polished. The black version does have a Melonited (nitrided) slide so it may be quite a bit better than blue in that respect..........Melonite is pretty tough stuff. MM
