Unless your hunting regulations require expanding bullets, I suggest you not overlook hard cast flat nosed bullets from about 210 to 310 grains. I use only 240 grain Keith style bullets for both .44 Special and Magnums. They will shoot through deer sideways or perhaps lengthwise. .44 holes do not need to expand to make the game leak.
