That 4.0L 6 cylinder isn't bulletproof in my book. After buying our '03 Rubicon new, and doing oil changes every 2-3,000 miles, it pitched a rod thru the side of the block at 115,000 miles. Besides, they are so underpowered that it's maddening.
They used to be, but about 2000 something changed and every once in a while one pukes, usually a rod problem.
