IIRC, Jack O'Connor once wrote about how he fired a lot of rounds trying to find the single most accurate load with a 130-grain bullet in a .270. He said he could never beat 49 to 49.5 grains of 4064 for accuracy.

While he used war-surplus 4831 for his hunting loads, probably because of economics and velocity, 4064 was the most accurate.
