What he hell is a .243 Winchester? Don't have any of those currently but I do have a boat load of .250s . Not really sure how the .243 "beats" the .250 (except in ammo availability) but that's what the gun writers said when the .243 emerged so I suppose it is true. In my experience they both seem to kill animals to about the same degree of dead?!!

A 243 with 105's is something to see. But if all your shooting is at 53 yards you'll not notice.
