Powder coat will work, so will LLA for the .38. I load the RCBS 150 grain bullet with LLA lube, dust them with motor mica to preclude gumming up the seating stem and rock on. Alloy is soft, about 10 BHN, sized to .358. No leading, shoots very good.

Thin the LLA about 10% by volume with mineral spirits, pour a little on the bullets and mix until they are coated. When it dries it should have a faint brownish cast. Little bit goes a loooooong way.
