I love DW drums. The most awesome drums I ever played were Premier Signias. The best bass drums I ever played were Pearl Masters the bottom was amazing. DWs seem to be the most consistent. Toms are always open with lots of sustain unless they are wearing pinstrips and great tone, their bass drums are nice too. I don't know about any companies snares cause you can't beat a ludwig super sensitive. I am blessed to own 2 of them a 6.5" and a 5".
Neals new kit looks gorgeous but I would have loved to hear them!
My son had a Pearl endorsement for a couple years and I have always felt that the Pearl Masters bass drums were the best. They could cut through anything and always overcame acoustics in the lousiest rooms and lousy sound men.
