I have 2 Svea 123's. They're not handy to light but they sure burn great at high altitudes. I carry a bottle of lighter fluid to light them. It's the easiest way I've found.
I have an old butane stove for which canisters are no longer made. I don't know why I still have that one but like others have said, you never throw away a stove.
For llama packing, I have 2 Coleman single burner propane stoves that fit on top of a 1lb bottle. Those things work great in any weather but you sure can't backpack one.
