I had an MSR Whisperlite I sold on here after a year of never lighting it.

I used a MSR Pocket Rocket and never looked back. It's just so darn convenient and efficient I just can't see the need for anything else. In really cold conditions I put the canister of ISO in the footbox of my sleeping bag.

Heck, I store fuel at Rock Chuck's house. grin Every time I go out there I buy and carry an extra canister of ISO but never have run out. Can't fly home with it though so I leave it there with him.

And speaking of flying, if I'm not mistaken, according to airline rules, you can't carry that fuel tank for an MSR Whisperlite even if empty. However, it's doubtful anyone would ever look or find it in checked luggage.

But I'm getting sidetracked.

Can't say what to get rid of. But I advise NOT getting rid of the Pocket Rocket!
