...Boston surpassed the previous record of snowfall a few days ago, one which had stood a while, turns out. 143 years long, to be specific. It could be that the numbers put up this year are greater than far beyond the previous record winter back in 1872, but since that's as far back as the records go, well, we'll just call it a milestone that goes back a good long spell.
