Used the Speer GS 275gr (C & C) on a yearling moose at 16 yards.. Spine shot from in front, just under the chin as his head was reaching up for a morsel. You can imagine the rest.. Might have been a little "overkill" on that particular moose, which maybe went all of 550 lbs, live-weight. Smallest 15 month old spike I've ever killed. And heaviest bullet and caliber. Well, excepting that 12 gauge slug, also on an average sized "yearling" spike moose at about 35 yards broadside. Full penetration, no expansion. None needed!

Either of those Barnes bullets should do just fine, properly placed, on ANY NA game animal at any reasonable range (say, 300 yards).
